About

I’ll use this blog to write about and discuss things that interest me, with the goal of improving my writing and my understanding (and maybe that of others as well… we’ll see). I’m interested in philosophy, but not an academic philosopher, with a mostly self-taught background in computer science. Some of my programming projects may be mentioned as well, if there are any that I’m working on actively.

The name comes from my personal interest in discussion. I’ve always enjoyed argument, and I’m coming to view it as a means to bring differing viewpoints closer together by sharing the arguments and evidence that inform them. If some of my writing could be improved, or you see a problem with an argument, please comment or message – I hope that writing will help me improve my views as well as share them.

    Well-begun is half done.

“I learned never to empty the well of my writing, but always to stop when there was still something there in the deep part of the well, and let it refill at night from the springs that fed it.”
    Ernest Hemingway.

“You fail only if you stop writing.”
    Ray Bradbury

So just open a vein and dribble onto the page.
